Business ultraportable with touch display

The Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 12 is a 14-inch Windows 11 Pro laptop built for mobile professionals who need a lightweight chassis with a responsive touchscreen. Its carbon-fibre top cover and aluminium base keep weight near 1.08 kg while housing a 57 Wh battery and 65 W USB-C power adapter.

Core Ultra 7 155U processor with integrated graphics

The Intel Core Ultra 7 155U delivers 12 cores and 14 threads, reaching 4.8 GHz max turbo with 12 MB L2 and 12 MB L3 cache. Integrated Intel Graphics handles everyday visual tasks without a discrete GPU, suiting office workloads and video playback rather than heavy 3D rendering.

32 GB DDR5 6400 memory and 1 TB NVMe storage

A single 32 GB SO-DIMM at 6400 MT/s provides ample headroom for multitasking and large documents, while the 1 TB M.2 NVMe SSD offers fast boot and application loads. The 14-inch WUXGA IPS touch panel covers 100 % sRGB at 400 nits, and the FHD 1080p IR camera includes a privacy shutter.

Questions about this item

How does the 4.8 GHz max turbo on the Core Ultra 7 155U perform inside this 14.96 mm thin chassis?

The 12-core processor reaches 4.8 GHz boost clocks while the 57 Wh battery and 65 W USB-C adapter manage thermals in the 1.08 kg carbon-fibre and aluminium body.

What does the DDR5 6400 memory spec mean for upgrade options on the single SO-DIMM slot?

The laptop ships with one 32 GB DDR5-6400 module installed; the sole SO-DIMM slot supports DDR5 only, so any upgrade must match that generation and speed.

Will the 12.31 x 8.45 inch footprint fit standard 14-inch laptop sleeves and briefcase compartments?

At 312.80 x 214.75 mm the chassis matches typical 14-inch sleeve dimensions, and the 0.59 inch profile slides into most padded compartments.
