Mobile workstation for CAD and rendering

The ThinkPad P50 is a 15.6 inch mobile workstation built around an Intel Core i7-6700HQ processor with four cores and a 3.50 GHz turbo frequency. It ships with 8GB DDR4 memory, a 4TB solid state drive and an NVIDIA Quadro M1000M graphics card. Windows 8.1 Pro is pre-installed.

Upgrade from consumer ultrabooks

The jump is worth it when ISV-certified drivers for over 100 professional applications matter and when a Quadro GPU replaces integrated graphics for stable viewport performance. Buyers who need more than 8GB of system memory for large assemblies should look elsewhere.

Fits a desk-free engineering workflow

The 1920 x 1080 IPS anti-glare panel and spill-resistant keyboard with TrackPoint support long sessions away from a dock. A fingerprint reader and secure chip handle authentication without extra peripherals. AC Wi-Fi provides wireless connectivity for remote collaboration.
