Lenovo ThinkPad P53 mobile workstation

The Lenovo ThinkPad P53 is a 15.6-inch mobile workstation running Windows 10 Pro. It combines an Intel Core i7-9750H six-core processor with 16GB DDR4 memory and dual storage comprising a 256GB NVME drive and a 1TB 2.5-inch SSD. Professional graphics are provided by an NVIDIA Quadro T2000 with 4GB video memory.

Suits ISV-certified workflows.

This configuration suits engineers and designers who need ISV-certified stability for CAD, rendering or data-science workloads on a 1920 x 1080 IPS display with 500-nit brightness and HDR Dolby Vision support. Buyers who require a touchscreen, a higher-resolution panel or a lighter ultraportable chassis should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

Does the box include both the 256 GB NVME and 1 TB 2.5-inch SSD, or must one be purchased separately?

Both drives are already installed — a 256 GB NVME boot drive and a 1 TB 2.5-inch secondary SSD — so no extra storage purchase is required.

Should I choose the 15.6-inch 500-nit FHD IPS panel or a different display option for colour-critical work?

The only panel offered is a 15.6-inch 1920 x 1080 IPS display rated at 500 nits with 72 % colour gamut and HDR Dolby Vision, so there is no alternative to select.

How does the Quadro T2000 4 GB GPU perform in real rendering workloads on this mobile workstation?

The NVIDIA Quadro T2000 with 4 GB video memory is certified for professional 3D and CAD applications, delivering hardware-accelerated viewport performance and stable drivers for rendering tasks.
