Mobile workstation with dual storage

The Lenovo ThinkPad P53 is a 15.6-inch mobile workstation running Windows 10 Pro. It pairs a six-core Intel Core i7-9750H processor with 32GB of DDR4 memory and discrete NVIDIA Quadro T2000 graphics with 4GB video memory. Storage combines a 1TB NVME drive with a 1TB hard drive for capacity and speed. A fingerprint reader and 500-nit FHD IPS display complete the core specification.

Suited for ISV workloads; not for touch or 4K panels

This configuration targets engineers, designers and analysts who run certified ISV applications and need reliable colour accuracy on a non-touch 1920 x 1080 IPS panel with 72% colour gamut and HDR Dolby Vision support. Buyers who require touchscreen input, a 4K resolution display or a higher GPU video memory allocation should evaluate alternative models that provide those features.

Deciding spec: NVIDIA Quadro T2000 4GB

The Quadro T2000 with 4GB of dedicated video memory determines whether this system meets professional graphics requirements. It drives viewport performance in CAD, DCC and simulation software certified for this GPU class. If your workflow demands more video memory or a higher-tier professional GPU, this unit will not satisfy those needs.

Questions about this item

How does the 6-core i7-9750H behave when all cores run at 4.5 GHz for long renders?

The processor sustains up to 4.5 GHz turbo on heavy workloads; actual clocks depend on the laptop's thermal solution and power limits.

What fan noise and surface temperatures should I expect during all-day CAD sessions?

Under sustained load the cooling system spins up to move heat from the CPU and Quadro T2000; expect audible fan noise and warm keyboard-deck areas.

Which docking connector does the P53 use so I can check my existing dock?

The workstation uses a mechanical side dock connector compatible with Lenovo ThinkPad workstation docks.
