Mobile workstation with Hexa-Core i7

The Lenovo ThinkPad P53 is a 15.6-inch mobile workstation powered by an Intel Core i7-9850H six-core processor reaching 4.6 GHz turbo frequency. It ships with 64 GB of DDR4 memory at 2666 MHz and a 256 GB NVME solid-state drive. The NVIDIA Quadro T2000 graphics card provides 4 GB of dedicated video memory for professional visualisation workloads. Linux Mint comes pre-installed for immediate development or engineering use.

Verify software and peripheral needs

Confirm that your professional applications are certified for Linux Mint or can run reliably under it before purchase. The 256 GB NVME capacity may require external storage for large datasets or multiple virtual machines. Ensure any specialised peripherals you rely on have Linux drivers available. The non-touch FHD IPS panel delivers 1920 x 1080 resolution with 72 percent colour gamut and 300 nits brightness for colour-sensitive tasks.

Durable chassis with biometric security

The black ThinkPad chassis includes a fingerprint reader integrated into the palm rest for quick authentication. Anti-glare coating on the 15.6-inch display reduces reflections during extended work sessions. Dolby Atmos speaker tuning aims to provide clear audio for conferences or media review. The dTPM hardware encryption module helps protect data at rest without relying on operating-system features alone.

Questions about this item

What comes in the box and do I need to buy a power adapter separately?

The laptop includes the ThinkPad P53 unit with 64GB DDR4 RAM and 256GB NVME storage already installed, plus a fingerprint reader; a power adapter is typically supplied with new Lenovo workstations.

Should I choose the 64GB RAM and 256GB NVME configuration or look for a different capacity?

This unit ships with 64GB DDR4 at 2666 MHz and a 256GB NVME drive; if you need more local storage you can add a second drive internally, while 64GB covers most mobile workstation workloads.

What does the 4.6 GHz turbo figure mean when the laptop is rendering a project?

The Intel Core i7-9850H can boost up to 4.6 GHz across its 6 cores with 12MB cache, so sustained multi-threaded rendering benefits from the higher clock until thermal limits are reached.
