Mobile workstation with Quadro graphics

The ThinkPad P53 combines a six-core Intel Core i7-9750H processor running at 2.60 GHz with an NVIDIA Quadro T2000 4 GB GPU. It ships with 32 GB DDR4 memory and dual storage of 256 GB NVME plus 1 TB HDD. Windows 10 Pro is pre-installed on the 15.6 inch FHD IPS display panel.

Suited for CAD and AI workloads

Engineers and data scientists who need certified drivers and 500 nits brightness for colour-critical work will benefit from the Quadro T2000 and HDR Dolby Vision support. Buyers who want more storage capacity or a higher-resolution screen should consider other configurations.

Deciding specification: Quadro T2000 4 GB

The 4 GB Quadro T2000 determines whether this laptop handles your professional 3D and compute tasks. If your applications require more video memory or a different GPU tier, this unit will not match those requirements.

Questions about this item

Does the box include both the 256GB NVME and 1TB HDD, or must I add the hard drive myself?

The system ships with a 256GB NVME drive and a 1TB hard drive already installed, so no extra storage purchase is needed.

Should I choose the 32GB DDR4 configuration or look for a higher capacity?

This unit comes with 32GB DDR4 memory soldered and slotted, which matches the factory maximum for the P53 platform.

What does the 500 nits brightness mean when I use the 15.6" FHD IPS screen outdoors?

At 500 nits the 1920x1080 IPS panel stays readable in bright daylight, and the 72% colour gamut keeps work colours accurate.
