A 15.6-inch FHD IPS mobile workstation with a six-core Intel Core i7-9850H up to 4.6 GHz, 16GB DDR4, 2TB NVME plus 4TB 2.5-inch SSD storage, NVIDIA Quadro T1000 4GB graphics.
The Lenovo ThinkPad P53 is a new 15.6-inch mobile workstation running Linux Mint. It uses a six-core Intel Core i7-9850H processor with a base frequency of 2.60 GHz and a turbo frequency of 4.6 GHz. The system includes 16GB of DDR4 memory and a combined 2TB NVME plus 4TB 2.5-inch SSD storage array. A fingerprint reader provides biometric security.
The non-touch 15.6-inch panel uses IPS technology at a 1920 x 1080 resolution with 300 nits brightness. Its colour reproduction covers 72% of the gamut, which restricts suitability for colour-critical professional imaging work. Anti-glare coating reduces reflections in bright environments. The fixed resolution and panel specifications cannot be upgraded after purchase.
Graphics are handled by an NVIDIA Quadro T1000 GPU equipped with 4GB of dedicated video memory. This configuration targets entry-level CAD, 3D modelling and GPU-accelerated compute tasks rather than heavy rendering or large dataset training. Buyers needing higher GPU memory bandwidth or more VRAM for complex scenes should consider other options.
