Mobile workstation for intensive rendering

The ThinkPad P53 pairs an Intel Core i7-9850H six-core processor running at 2.60 GHz with a 4.6 GHz turbo and 12 MB L2 cache with an NVIDIA Quadro T2000 4 GB GPU. Windows 10 Pro and a fingerprint reader complete the security baseline for professional workflows.

Suited for CAD and data-science on the move

Creative professionals and engineers who need ISV-certified graphics and 64 GB DDR4 memory for large assemblies or model training will benefit from the combined 2 TB NVME and 4 TB 2.5 inch SSD storage. Buyers requiring a touchscreen or a lighter ultraportable chassis should consider other form factors.

15.6 inch FHD IPS panel at 1920 x 1080

The non-touch display uses in-plane switching technology with a 72 % colour gamut and 300 nits brightness for accurate visual review of 3D renders and video timelines. Anti-glare coating reduces reflections during extended work sessions.

Questions about this item

Does the ThinkPad P53 ship with the 64GB DDR4 memory and the 2TB NVME plus 4TB 2.5 inch SSD already installed?

Yes. The workstation arrives with 64GB of DDR4 RAM fitted and both the 2TB NVME drive and the 4TB 2.5 inch SSD pre-installed, so no extra storage or memory modules are required to start working.

Should I choose the 15.6 inch 1920x1080 IPS panel or is there a higher-resolution option for colour-critical tasks?

The only display listed for this unit is the 15.6 inch FHD IPS screen at 1920x1080 with 300 nits brightness and 72 percent colour gamut; no higher-resolution panel is offered in this configuration.

How does the Quadro T2000 4GB GPU perform when driving the built-in 1920x1080 display in CAD or rendering workloads?

The NVIDIA Quadro T2000 with 4GB video memory is certified for professional 3D applications and delivers smooth viewport performance and hardware-accelerated rendering at the panel's native 1920x1080 resolution.
