Professionals needing ISV certification

This suit buyers who want ISV certification across over 100 applications and a full port selection including a DVD±RW optical drive. Security features include a fingerprint reader and smart card reader. It is not for buyers who want more system memory than 8GB or a touchscreen display. Users needing a lighter chassis should look elsewhere.

Quadro P3000 6GB for certified apps

The NVIDIA Quadro P3000 6GB GPU drives this workstation's ability to run certified professional applications. It provides the graphics memory required for 3D rendering and complex visual workloads. The 6GB frame buffer is the specification that determines whether this machine fits your certified software requirements.

Questions about this item

Will the i7-7700HQ hit its 3.8 GHz turbo limit quickly under sustained heavy workloads?

The quad-core i7-7700HQ runs at up to 3.80 GHz turbo, and the P71 chassis is built for workstation-class thermal management to sustain high frequencies during long renders or calculations.

How loud and hot does the P71 get when the Quadro P3000 and CPU run all day?

The ISV-certified cooling system handles the 6 GB Quadro P3000 and i7-7700HQ together, keeping noise and surface temperatures at workstation-appropriate levels for extended sessions.

What memory do I need to add if I want more than the installed 8 GB DDR4?

The laptop uses DDR4 SO-DIMMs; add matching DDR4 modules to the open slots to expand beyond the factory 8 GB configuration.
