Suitable users and limitations

This laptop suits professionals who need a portable Windows 10 Pro machine with 16GB of memory for office applications and video calls. Buyers who require a dedicated graphics card for rendering or gaming should look elsewhere. Users needing a touchscreen, an optical drive, or a larger screen will not find those features here.

Deciding specification: 16GB soldered memory

The 16GB memory capacity is fixed and cannot be upgraded after purchase. If your workload demands more than 16GB of RAM, this model will not meet that requirement. Verify your memory needs before committing to this configuration.

Questions about this item

What existing Windows 10 Pro licence or installation media do I need to reinstall the operating system if I wipe the 512 GB drive?

The laptop ships with Windows 10 Pro pre-installed; a recovery partition or Lenovo recovery media lets you reinstall without a separate licence key.

Will my older HDMI 1.4 monitor run at 1920 x 1080 when connected to the single HDMI port on this ThinkPad T14?

Yes, the HDMI output supports 1920 x 1080 resolution, so an HDMI 1.4 display will work at its native resolution.

How can I confirm the integrated graphics are driving the 1920 x 1080 non-touch screen correctly after first boot?

Open Settings > System > Display and verify the resolution shows 1920 x 1080 with the Intel graphics adapter listed in Device Manager.
