14-inch ThinkPad with Ryzen 7 PRO 5850U

The Lenovo ThinkPad T14 G2 is a 14.0-inch business laptop powered by an AMD Ryzen 7 PRO 5850U processor with a base speed of 1.90 GHz. It ships with Windows 11 Pro pre-installed and includes a 1920 x 1080 full HD IPS display. Integrated AMD Radeon Vega 8 graphics handle the visual output.

Professionals needing a portable Windows machine

This configuration suits office workers, students or remote staff who want a lightweight 14-inch chassis, a comfortable keyboard and 24 GB of RAM for multitasking. Buyers who want a dedicated graphics card, a touchscreen, a larger screen or more internal storage should look at other models.

128 GB SSD and 24 GB soldered memory

The 128 GB solid-state drive provides enough room for the operating system, core applications and a modest working set of files. Heavy media libraries, large project archives or virtual-machine images will quickly exceed the available capacity. Memory is not upgradeable beyond the factory-installed 24 GB, so future headroom is fixed.

Questions about this item

Does the 14.0" 1920 x 1080 FHD IPS display need an external monitor to work?

No, the built-in 14.0" 1920 x 1080 FHD LED-backlit IPS panel works immediately on its own.

Will the AMD Radeon Vega 8 graphics drive a legacy VGA projector through a USB-C adapter?

The integrated AMD Radeon Vega 8 can output video over USB-C, so a USB-C-to-VGA adapter will let you connect an older projector.

How can I verify the AMD Ryzen 7 PRO 5850U is running at its 1.90 GHz base speed after setup?

Open Task Manager, go to the Performance tab, select CPU and confirm the base speed reads 1.90 GHz.
