ThinkPad T14 Gen 1 touchscreen ultrabook

This 14.0" laptop pairs a 10th Gen Intel Core i7-10510U quad-core processor with 16 GB of DDR4 memory and a 256 GB M.2 2242 SSD. The Full HD IPS panel supports ten-point touch input and runs Windows 11 Pro out of the box. Integrated Intel UHD Graphics handle everyday visuals using shared system memory.

Check memory slots and port needs before ordering

The 16 GB configuration uses 8 GB soldered plus one 8 GB module, leaving zero SO-DIMM slots free for further expansion. Maximum supported memory is 48 GB, so future upgrades require replacing the existing stick. Verify that the single Thunderbolt 3 port, three USB-C 3.2 Gen 1 ports, HDMI 1.4b, RJ-45 Ethernet and 3.5 mm audio jack match your docking and peripheral requirements.

Business-grade chassis with versatile docking

The black or silver magnesium-aluminium body meets MIL-STD durability standards and includes a side mechanical docking connector for compatible ThinkPad stations. Two USB-C ports support power delivery, while the Thunderbolt 3 lane adds dual 4K display capability and high-speed data. An optional microSD or smart-card reader may be present depending on the specific unit configuration.

Questions about this item

Does the 256 GB SSD and 16 GB DDR4 memory come installed, or do I need to buy them separately?

The 256 GB SSD and 16 GB DDR4 2666 memory are factory installed; 8 GB is soldered and 8 GB occupies the single SO-DIMM slot, so no separate purchase is required.

The part number 20S0002NUS lists 16 GB RAM — should I choose a different SKU if I want the maximum 48 GB later?

This unit ships with 16 GB (8 GB onboard plus 8 GB in the only slot); to reach 48 GB you would replace the module with a 40 GB stick, so the current SKU is fine if you plan that upgrade.

The i7-10510U hits 4.40 GHz turbo — what does that mean for everyday workloads on the integrated Intel UHD Graphics?

The quad-core processor can burst to 4.40 GHz for short periods, speeding office tasks and light content creation while the Intel UHD Graphics uses shared system memory for video playback and basic photo editing.
