Ready-to-work ultrabook

The Lenovo ThinkPad T14 Gen 1 20S00037US is a 14.0" FHD touchscreen laptop powered by a 10th Gen Intel Core i5-10310U quad-core processor with 4.40 GHz turbo. It ships with 16 GB DDR4 2666 memory and a 256 GB SSD, running Windows 11 Pro out of the box. The IPS panel delivers 1920 x 1080 resolution for clear visuals in office or mobile use.

Upgrade from older thin-and-light

This unit replaces an aging ultrabook that struggles with modern multitasking or lacks a touchscreen. The jump is worth it when you need four cores, 16 GB of fast DDR4, and a responsive 14.0" IPS touch display in a durable chassis. Buyers who want more storage than 256 GB or a discrete GPU should look elsewhere.

Dock-ready business build

Two USB-C 3.2 Gen 1 ports and one Thunderbolt 3 port handle power, video and data through a single cable to a dock. HDMI 1.4b and RJ-45 Ethernet are built in for external monitors and wired networks. The single memory slot is populated, so total capacity stays at 16 GB unless the onboard module is replaced. Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth cover wireless needs.

Questions about this item

What size M.2 drive does the single 2242 slot accept?

The laptop has one M.2 2242 slot supporting up to 1 TB, so only 2242-length drives will fit.

How do I add more RAM when the only slot is already occupied?

8 GB is soldered and the single SO-DIMM slot holds the other 8 GB; to reach 48 GB you must replace that module with a 40 GB DDR4 2666 stick.

When will the 256 GB SSD need replacement?

Replace the M.2 2242 SSD when it reaches its write-endurance limit or if you need more than 256 GB of storage.
