ThinkPad T14 Gen 2 14 inch UHD business laptop

The Lenovo ThinkPad T14 Gen 2 is a 14.0 inch laptop built for daily productivity. It uses an Intel Core i5-1145G7 processor with 16GB DDR4 memory and a 256GB SSD. The 3840 x 2160 display provides a sharp workspace for documents and web apps. No operating system is included, so the buyer installs their preferred environment.

Suits mobile professionals needing a crisp screen

This configuration fits users who want a high-resolution panel and 16GB of memory in a 3.2300 kg chassis. The integrated Intel Iris Xe Graphics handles office tasks and video playback. Buyers who require a discrete GPU for CAD or gaming should look elsewhere. Anyone needing more than 256GB of internal storage or a touchscreen will need a different model.

3840 x 2160 non-touch display decides fit

The 14 inch panel runs at 3840 x 2160 without touch input. That resolution determines whether text scaling and battery life match the user's workflow. If the buyer needs touch support or a lower native resolution for longer unplugged time, this screen makes the unit unsuitable.

Questions about this item

How is the 256 GB SSD installed in the T14 Gen 2, and what step do people miss?

The 256 GB SSD sits in the internal M.2 slot; the step most people miss is removing the bottom cover screws in the correct order and disconnecting the battery cable before lifting the drive bracket.

What maintenance or replacement will the 16 GB DDR4 memory need later?

The 16 GB DDR4 is soldered to the board, so it cannot be upgraded or replaced; the only memory-related maintenance is keeping the vents clear so the integrated graphics stay cool.

What limit appears first on the i5-1145G7 during sustained workloads?

The 2.60 GHz base clock drops to a lower sustained frequency once the thermal solution reaches its limit, so long compiles or video exports will throttle before the 3840 x 2160 panel becomes a bottleneck.
