Business laptop with touchscreen

The Lenovo ThinkPad T14 Gen 2 is a 14.0 inch business laptop running Windows 11 Pro. It uses an Intel Core i5-1145G7 processor with four cores and a turbo frequency of 4.60 GHz. The system includes 16 GB of DDR4 memory and a 256 GB NVMe PCIe SSD. A Full HD touchscreen with 1920 x 1080 resolution and LED backlight handles input and display.

Ports and wireless expand connectivity

Two USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports and two USB 3.2 Type-C Gen 2 ports with Thunderbolt 4 support docking and high-speed peripherals. An HDMI 2.0 output drives an external monitor. Gigabit Ethernet, Wifi 6 and Bluetooth 5.1 provide wired and wireless networking. A 720p webcam and combo audio jack complete the communication kit. The bundled AC adapter matches the original OEM wattage.

Suits mobile professionals needing pen input

Buyers who want a lightweight chassis with touchscreen and stylus support for annotation or presenting will find the feature set aligned. The 256 GB drive and soldered memory limit local storage expansion and RAM upgrades, so users with large media libraries or virtualisation workloads should look at configurations with larger SSDs or user-accessible memory slots.

Questions about this item

Can the 16GB DDR4 memory be upgraded later?

The memory is soldered with no free slots, so the 16GB cannot be increased; only the 256GB NVMe SSD can be replaced.

What thermal limit appears first when the Core i5-1145G7 runs at 4.60 GHz continuously?

The processor will hit its power and temperature ceiling, causing clock speeds to drop below the 4.60 GHz turbo within minutes of full load.

How loud do the fans get and what is the surface temperature during an all-day workload?

Under sustained load the fans spin up to an audible whine and the keyboard deck and bottom case become noticeably warm to the touch.
