Business laptop for mobile professionals

The Lenovo ThinkPad T14 Gen 2 is a new business laptop built around an 11th Gen Intel Core i5-1135G7 processor with four cores reaching 4.2 GHz. It ships with 32GB DDR4 memory and a 4TB PCIe SSD, running Ubuntu Linux out of the box. The configuration targets professionals who need ample memory and storage for local workloads without relying on cloud services.

Durable chassis with versatile connectivity

The 14.0 inch Full HD IPS display offers a 1920 x 1080 resolution in a 16:9 aspect ratio. A 720p HD webcam sits above the screen for video calls. The black chassis weighs 3.23lb and measures 12.9 IN by 8.9 IN by 0.70 IN. Ports include two USB-A 3.2 Gen1 sockets, two USB-C Thunderbolt 4 ports, HDMI, a microSD reader, RJ45 Ethernet and a combo audio jack. Wireless connectivity covers Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2.

Upgrade from constrained ultraportables

This unit replaces laptops limited to 8GB or 16GB soldered memory and smaller SSDs that force constant file management. The 32GB DDR4 capacity and 4TB PCIe SSD remove those bottlenecks for developers, analysts and creators working offline. Buyers who need discrete graphics performance or a touchscreen should look elsewhere, as this model relies on Intel Iris Xe integrated graphics and a non-touch panel.
