Business laptop for mobile professionals

The ThinkPad T14 Gen 2 is a 14.0 inch business laptop built around an Intel Core i5-1145G7 processor with four cores and a 4.40 GHz turbo frequency. It ships with 16GB of DDR4 memory and a 2TB NVMe PCIe SSD for fast storage. Windows 11 Pro is pre-installed for immediate productivity.

Grade B chassis with full port selection

This unit is graded BLCD, meaning the laptop and LCD show visible cosmetic wear such as scratches. The frame still provides two USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports, two Thunderbolt 4 USB-C ports, HDMI 2.0, RJ-45 Ethernet and a combo audio jack. Wireless connectivity uses Wifi 6 and Bluetooth 5.1 for modern network speeds.

Integrated graphics with efficient thermal design

The Intel Iris Xe graphics share system memory and handle everyday visual tasks without a discrete GPU. The 1920 x 1080 non-touch display uses LED backlighting for consistent brightness. Typical office workloads keep fan noise low and power draw modest thanks to the 2.6 GHz base frequency and efficient Tiger Lake architecture.

Questions about this item

What does the Thunderbolt 4 port cap in practice?

The two USB-C ports are Thunderbolt 4 and USB 3.2 Gen 2. They carry data, DisplayPort video and power delivery through a single cable.

What does the laptop need to fit a second drive?

The 2 TB NVMe PCIe SSD occupies the only M.2 slot. No second M.2 or 2.5-inch bay is present, so internal storage cannot be expanded.

How is the memory upgraded, and what step is often missed?

16 GB DDR4 is soldered and there are zero memory slots. The only way to increase RAM is to replace the mainboard, not to add a module.
