Business laptop with 24GB memory

The Lenovo ThinkPad T14 Gen 2 is a 14.0" business laptop powered by an Intel Core i5-1145G7 quad-core processor reaching 4.40 GHz turbo frequency. It ships with 24GB DDR4 memory and a 1TB NVMe PCIe SSD, running Windows 11 Pro on a 1920 x 1080 FHD non-touch display with LED backlight. Intel Iris Xe graphics handle visual output.

Suits mobile professionals needing high memory

This configuration suits users who run multiple business applications, virtual machines or large datasets simultaneously and benefit from the 24GB memory ceiling. Buyers who need user-upgradeable RAM should look elsewhere because the memory slots total zero. The non-touch screen also means stylus or direct-touch workflows are not supported.

Soldered memory limits future expansion

The single specification that decides fit is the soldered memory design with no available slots, capping total capacity at 40GB supported by the processor. If your workload may exceed that limit or you prefer adding modules later, this chassis cannot accommodate it.

Questions about this item

Does this laptop need a Thunderbolt 4 dock or monitor to use the USB-C ports for video?

The two USB-C ports are Thunderbolt 4 and support video output directly, so a compatible monitor or dock can be connected without extra adapters.

Will my existing DDR4 SODIMM modules work if I want to add more memory later?

The system has no free memory slots; the 24 GB is soldered and cannot be expanded with SODIMMs.

How can I confirm the Intel Iris Xe graphics are active after Windows 11 Pro setup?

Open Device Manager, expand Display adapters, and verify Intel Iris Xe Graphics appears without a yellow warning icon.
