Purpose-built mobile workstation

The Lenovo ThinkPad T14 is a 14.0-inch laptop powered by an Intel Core Ultra 7 155U processor with 12 cores and 14 threads. It ships with 32GB of DDR5 4800 memory and a 2TB PCIe SSD. Windows 11 Pro is pre-installed for professional environments.

Thermals and power in daily use

The 12-core processor reaches a maximum turbo frequency of 4.8GHz while integrated Intel Graphics handles visual output. A 60Hz IPS panel rated at 400 nits with anti-glare coating and 45% NTSC colour coverage keeps the display readable without demanding discrete GPU power.

Ports and security features

Two Thunderbolt 4 ports, two USB Type-A ports, HDMI, RJ-45 and a headset combo jack cover docked and mobile connectivity. Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth provide wireless links. A fingerprint reader and backlit keyboard support secure, low-light work sessions.

Questions about this item

How do I install the DDR5 memory and what step do people get wrong?

The 32GB DDR5 4800 is soldered and cannot be upgraded; the step people get wrong is buying SO-DIMMs expecting a slot.

What maintenance or replacement will the 2 TB PCIe SSD need later?

The SSD is not user-replaceable; plan for external storage or cloud backup when capacity runs low.

What limit shows up first on the Intel Core Ultra 7 155U under sustained load?

The 12-core 155U hits its 4.8 GHz turbo ceiling and thermal throttle before the 400-nit 60 Hz panel becomes a bottleneck.
