Form factor and audience

The Lenovo ThinkPad T14s 2-in-1 is a convertible laptop built around a 14 inch WUXGA touchscreen. It suits professionals who need a lightweight device that switches between laptop and tablet modes for presentations or field work. The integrated Intel graphics and soldered memory keep the chassis thin, so it is not aimed at buyers who want discrete GPU performance or user-upgradable RAM.

Thermals and acoustics

The Intel Core Ultra 7 255U processor runs with integrated graphics inside a fan-cooled 1.00 lb chassis. In typical office workloads the system stays quiet and surface temperatures remain comfortable for lap use. Sustained multi-core tasks will raise fan speed and warmth, but the design targets mainstream productivity rather than continuous heavy compute.

Upgrade context

This unit replaces an older 14 inch ultraportable with 8 GB of soldered memory and a smaller SSD. The jump to 16 GB LPDDR5X-7467MT/s and a 1 TB drive is worthwhile when current multitasking hits memory limits or storage fills up. It does not address buyers who need a second SSD slot, discrete graphics or a larger display.

Questions about this item

How do I install the 16 GB LPDDR5X-7467MT/s memory in the ThinkPad T14s 2-in-1?

The 16 GB LPDDR5X-7467MT/s memory is soldered to the system board and cannot be installed or upgraded by the user.

What maintenance or replacement will the 3-cell Lithium Ion battery need later?

The integrated 3-cell Lithium Ion battery is not user-replaceable; service by an authorised technician is required when its capacity degrades.

What limit appears first on the 14" WUXGA 400 nits touchscreen during sustained use?

The 60 Hz refresh rate caps motion smoothness, and the 45 % NTSC colour gamut limits colour volume during extended creative work.
