Suits mobile professionals; not for gamers

This configuration suits professionals who need a lightweight Windows 11 Pro machine for office applications, video calls and multi-tasking on the move. The integrated graphics and fixed 16GB memory mean buyers who want discrete GPU performance or user-upgradeable RAM should look at something else.

512GB NVMe PCIe SSD decides fit

The single specification that decides whether this is the right part is the 512GB NVMe PCIe SSD. It sets the total high-speed storage available for the operating system, applications and active project files without relying on external drives.

Questions about this item

How do I install the 512 GB NVMe SSD in the T14s Gen 2, and which step is often missed?

The drive slots into the internal M.2 PCIe connector; the step many miss is removing the bottom cover screws and disconnecting the battery before insertion.

What maintenance will the 16 GB DDR4 memory and integrated Radeon Vega 7 graphics need over time?

Memory is soldered and not upgradeable; keep vents clear and reapply thermal paste on the CPU every few years to maintain GPU thermal headroom.

At what point does the Ryzen 5 5650U hit its sustained-use limit during heavy workloads?

The 6-core 2.3 GHz processor throttles at its 4.20 GHz turbo ceiling once the cooling solution saturates under prolonged multi-threaded load.
