ThinkPad T15 Gen 1 4K UHD display

The 15.6 inch panel delivers 3840 x 2160 resolution with IPS technology, 500 nits brightness, HDR400 and Dolby Vision support. The anti-glare coating reduces reflections in bright environments. This non-touch screen suits professionals who need accurate colour and high pixel density for detailed content creation or data analysis.

Integrated Intel graphics to discrete MX330 2GB

The NVIDIA GeForce MX330 adds dedicated video memory for light creative workloads and multi-display setups that integrated graphics struggle to drive smoothly. The upgrade is worthwhile when external monitors or GPU-accelerated applications are part of the daily workflow. Buyers who need sustained 3D rendering or compute performance should consider workstations with higher-tier discrete GPUs.

16GB soldered DDR4-2666 and 1TB PCIe NVMe Opal2 SSD

Memory is fixed at 16 GB with no expansion slots, so the configuration must meet long-term needs at purchase. The solid-state drive provides fast boot and application loading with hardware encryption support. Users who anticipate large local datasets or virtual machines may find the storage ceiling restrictive.

Questions about this item

What internal battery does the ThinkPad T15 20S6001LUS use for replacement?

It uses an integrated 57Wh battery; swap it by removing the bottom case, disconnecting the cable, and fitting the same-capacity Lenovo service part.

How is the M.2 2280 SSD installed, and what step is often missed?

Insert the drive at an angle into the slot, secure it with the single retention screw, and enable the NVMe controller in BIOS so the drive appears at boot.

Which memory slots are free for a future RAM upgrade?

None — the 16GB DDR4-2666 is fully soldered to the board, so no SO-DIMM slots exist for expansion.
