ThinkPad T15 Gen 1 for mobile professionals

The Lenovo ThinkPad T15 Gen 1 is a 15.6-inch Full HD touchscreen ultrabook running Windows 11 Pro. It uses a 10th Gen Intel Core i7-10510U quad-core processor with a 4.40 GHz turbo frequency and 16 GB of DDR4 memory. Integrated Intel UHD Graphics share system memory and a 512 GB M.2 2242 SSD provides storage.

Check ports memory and power before ordering

The laptop offers one Thunderbolt 3 port, three USB-C 3.2 Gen 1 ports, HDMI 1.4b, RJ-45 Ethernet and a 3.5 mm headphone jack. Memory uses one soldered 8 GB module plus one removable 8 GB stick; the single slot is occupied so expansion requires replacing the module. Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth handle wireless connectivity. The OEM AC adapter is included.

Thermals noise and power in daily use

Integrated graphics and the 15 W U-series CPU keep heat output modest during office tasks and video playback. The dual-fan cooling system stays quiet under light loads and spins up only during sustained heavy work. Battery life benefits from the efficient processor and 512 GB SSD with no moving parts.

Questions about this item

What comes in the box and what must I buy separately?

The laptop ships with an OEM AC adapter and Windows 11 Pro installed. The single M.2 2242 slot is already occupied by the 512 GB SSD, so extra storage requires replacing that drive. The memory slot is also full with 8 GB onboard plus an 8 GB DDR4 2666 module.

Which configuration should I choose between the listed versions?

This unit is the specific 20S0002NUS build with a Core i7-10510U, 16 GB DDR4 2666, 512 GB SSD and a 15.6" FHD IPS touchscreen. Other T15 Gen 1 types offer i5 CPUs, 8 GB to 48 GB RAM and 256 GB to 4 TB SSDs.

How does the 4.40 GHz turbo speed behave in daily work?

The quad-core i7-10510U can reach 4.40 GHz on short bursts, but sustained loads run closer to the 1.8 GHz base. Integrated Intel UHD Graphics shares the 16 GB system memory, so heavy 3D tasks will be limited by that shared pool.
