Product identity

The Lenovo ThinkPad T1g Gen 8 is a 16.0" touchscreen laptop built around an Intel Core Ultra 9 285H processor with AI Boost NPU. It ships with 64 GB of LPDDR5X memory at 7467 MHz, a 2 TB SSD and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Laptop GPU with 8 GB DDR7 video memory. Windows 11 Pro is pre-installed. The Tandem OLED panel delivers a 3200 x 2000 resolution at 120 Hz with Eyesafe certification.

Setup checks

Verify that your workflows can use a single USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A port and one HDMI output for peripherals and external displays. The 5 megapixel webcam includes a privacy shutter. Wireless connectivity relies on Wi-Fi 7 (802.11be) and Bluetooth. The system weighs 4.06 lb and measures 13.9" wide, 9.5" deep and 0.81" high.

Build fit

The dedicated RTX 5070 GPU handles graphics workloads independently of the CPU, freeing the Ultra 9 285H for compute tasks. LPDDR5X memory is soldered, so capacity cannot be expanded after purchase. The 2 TB SSD provides the primary storage volume. One USB-A port and HDMI set the baseline for dock or monitor connections.

Questions about this item

Does the laptop ship with a power adapter and is a stylus included for the 16.0" touchscreen?

The package contents list is not fully detailed in the specifications, but the system includes the notebook with Windows 11 Pro pre-installed, a webcam with privacy shutter, and integrated LPDDR5X memory and SSD storage.

Which configuration should I choose for the 3200 x 2000 120 Hz Tandem OLED panel?

This model is a single fixed configuration: Intel Core Ultra 9 285H, 64 GB LPDDR5X at 7467 MHz, 2 TB SSD, and GeForce RTX 5070 with 8 GB DDR7. There are no alternative screen or memory options to select.

What does the 5.40 GHz turbo frequency mean for sustained workloads on the Intel Core Ultra 9 285H?

The 5.40 GHz figure is the maximum single-core turbo frequency. Sustained speeds depend on the cooling solution and power limits of the 13.9" x 9.5" x 0.81" chassis, so heavy multi-core tasks will run below this peak.
