Mobile workstation for AI-accelerated creative

The ThinkPad T1g Gen 9 combines a 16-inch 3840x2400 IPS display with an Intel Core Ultra 7 366H vPro processor and NVIDIA RTX 5060 graphics. It targets professionals who need colour-accurate visuals and local AI compute for video editing, 3D design and data science tasks.

64GB memory and 2TB SSD handle large project files

Sixty-four gigabytes of unified memory provide headroom for complex timelines, multi-layer compositions and virtual machines. The two-terabyte solid-state drive stores active datasets and applications. Workloads requiring more GPU memory than the 8GB GDDR7 frame buffer or multi-GPU scaling will exceed the platform limits.

Slim 16-inch chassis with HDR 400 100% DCI-P3 panel

The anti-glare screen reaches 800 nits peak brightness for HDR content review in bright environments. A 4-cell lithium-ion battery powers the high-resolution panel and discrete GPU. Bluetooth 5.0 connects peripherals wirelessly. The 1.00 lbs weight figure appears inconsistent with the 4.41 lbs specification; verify actual mass before committing to daily carry.

Questions about this item

Will the 60 Hz panel and RTX 5060 8 GB GDDR7 work smoothly with my older 60 Hz external monitor over HDMI?

The internal display runs at 60 Hz and the GPU drives external screens at their native rates, so a 60 Hz monitor will sync without scaling issues.

How can I confirm the 3840 x 2400 HDR 400 screen and Intel Core Ultra 7 366H vPro are performing correctly after first boot?

Open Windows Display settings to verify 3840 x 2400 at 60 Hz with HDR on, then check Task Manager Performance tab for the Core Ultra 7 366H vPro showing all cores active.

Does the box include a charger for the 4-cell battery and are any adapters needed for legacy USB-A peripherals?

The package ships with the laptop, a USB-C power adapter for the 4-cell battery, and documentation; USB-A devices require a separate hub or adapter.
