Product identity

The Lenovo ThinkPad T450 is a 14.0 inch laptop with an Intel Core i5 5300U processor running at 2.3 GHz up to 2.9 GHz. It ships with 16 GB of memory, a 512 GB SSD and Windows 10 Professional 64 bit. The unit is new and finished in black and silver.

Installation and common issues

The system arrives with Windows 10 Professional already installed so first boot only requires language and account setup. Three USB 2.0 ports are available for peripherals. Wireless LAN uses 802.11g which may limit throughput on modern networks. The package includes a power adapter.

Deciding specification

The 512 GB SSD provides the primary storage capacity for the operating system and applications. This capacity determines whether the laptop can hold the required files without external drives.
