14 inch ultrabook for everyday work

The Lenovo ThinkPad T450s is a 14 inch ultrabook built for everyday office tasks and mobile professionals. It runs Windows 10 Pro on an Intel Core i5 5300U processor with a base speed of 2.3GHz. The system includes 8GB of memory and a 500GB drive. A non-touch 14.0 inch display and integrated webcam complete the package.

Core i5 5300U at 2.3GHz decides fit

The single specification that determines whether this ultrabook fits the workload is the Intel Core i5 5300U running at 2.3GHz. This dual-core processor handles web browsing, document editing and video calls without strain. Buyers who need more cores for rendering, compilation or heavy multitasking should look elsewhere. The CPU defines the performance ceiling for every task this machine runs.

8GB RAM and 500GB storage headroom

With 8GB of memory the laptop comfortably runs a typical suite of browser tabs, Office apps and background services. The 500GB drive holds the operating system, applications and a moderate local file library. Users working with large media projects, virtual machines or extensive datasets will reach capacity limits quickly. External storage or a higher-spec machine becomes necessary at that point.
