Lenovo ThinkPad T460 14" Ultrabook

The Lenovo ThinkPad T460 is a 14.0 inch Ultrabook powered by an Intel Core i7-6600U dual-core processor running at 2.60 GHz. It comes with 16 GB of DDR3 memory and a 128 GB SSD for storage. The system runs Windows 10 Pro 64-bit out of the box. It targets professionals who need a compact, enterprise-grade machine for daily productivity tasks.

Carbon-fiber lid and magnesium body with three USB

The chassis uses a carbon-fiber-reinforced lid and magnesium body construction for durability. Connectivity includes three USB 3.0 ports, one HDMI output, one Mini DisplayPort, Gigabit Ethernet and an SD card reader. A SIM card slot supports mobile broadband options. The integrated Intel HD Graphics 520 drives the 1920 x 1080 FHD non-touch display and external monitors.

Charger and battery included for immediate

The package supplies the laptop, AC charger and battery so the unit is ready to deploy without extra purchases. Windows 10 Pro is pre-installed, providing enterprise management features such as BitLocker and Remote Desktop. Buyers who need larger internal storage or a fingerprint reader should note this model lacks both. The Grade B condition means visible cosmetic blemishes are present.

Questions about this item

Does the USB 3.0 interface on this ThinkPad T460 cap at 5 Gbps in practice?

Yes, the three USB 3.0 ports run at the standard 5 Gbps signalling rate, so connected storage or peripherals are limited to that throughput.

What physical drive size does the T460 chassis accept for storage upgrades?

The laptop uses a 2.5-inch 7 mm drive bay; the 128 GB SSD occupies that slot, so any replacement must match those dimensions.

How is Windows 10 Pro activated after a clean install on this unit, and what step is often missed?

The licence is stored in the UEFI firmware; skipping the automatic online activation during first boot is the common mistake that leaves the OS unlicensed.
