Suits users who manage their own OS

This unit suits buyers who want to install their own Windows or Linux distribution on a lightweight 14.0 inch chassis. Buyers who need more than 240GB of internal storage or more than 32GB of memory should look elsewhere.

240GB SATA SSD decides fit

The single specification that decides fit is the 240GB SATA SSD. It fixes the storage capacity and interface, so anyone needing a larger or faster drive must choose a different configuration.

Questions about this item

How do I install the 2.5" SATA 240GB SSD in the ThinkPad T470, and what step is often missed?

The Intel HD Graphics 620 shares system memory and will hit thermal or memory-bandwidth limits first under sustained heavy graphics loads.
