Business-Ready Laptop

The ThinkPad T470s is a lightweight 14.0" laptop built for mobile professionals who need reliable performance. It runs Windows 7 Professional on an Intel Core i5-6300U processor with 8GB DDR4 memory and a 256GB SSD. The matte IPS display delivers 1920 x 1080 resolution without touch input.

Upgrade From Mechanical Storage

Replacing a traditional hard drive with the included SSD cuts boot time by nearly three times and opens files up to 30% faster. Sequential transfers reach around 200 MB/s versus 50-120 MB/s on mechanical drives. The jump is worth it when daily workflow involves frequent reboots, large document handling or moving projects between locations.

Capacity and Headroom

The 256GB drive holds the operating system, core applications and active project files with room for growth. 8GB DDR4 memory keeps typical business multitasking smooth across browser tabs, office suites and video calls. Heavy local datasets, virtual machines or large media libraries will exceed the internal headroom and require external storage or cloud offload.

Questions about this item

What internal slots and screw pattern does the 14" ThinkPad T470s use for its 256GB SSD?
