Lenovo ThinkPad T480 14" HD Laptop

This Lenovo ThinkPad T480 is a 14.0" HD laptop with a 1366 x 768 non-touch display. It runs on an Intel Core i5-7300U dual-core processor at 2.60 GHz with a 3.50 GHz turbo frequency. The system includes 32GB DDR4 memory and a NEW 128GB SSD 2.5" SATA drive. It arrives with no operating system installed.

Installation and common issues

The laptop ships ready to use once an operating system is installed on the 128GB SSD. Memory is already at the 32GB maximum across two slots, so no RAM upgrades are possible. Buyers must provide their own Windows licence or alternative OS and create bootable installation media. Driver availability for older components should be verified before starting the install.

Pre-purchase checks

Confirm that a 1366 x 768 HD resolution meets your workflow needs. The Intel HD Graphics 620 suits office tasks but not modern gaming or heavy GPU workloads. Ensure you have a valid OS licence and the ability to install it without a pre-loaded recovery partition. The 128GB SSD capacity may require external storage for large media libraries.

Questions about this item

How do I verify the Intel Core i5-7300U and 32GB DDR4 are recognised after setup?

Open the BIOS or your chosen OS installer; the processor should show Intel Core i5-7300U with a 3.50 GHz turbo and memory should report 32GB DDR4 across two slots.

What is included in the box and what must I source separately?

The laptop ships with the 14.0" HD 1366 x 768 display, Intel HD Graphics 620, NEW 128GB 2.5" SATA SSD and 32GB DDR4 installed; you must supply your own operating system.

Which configuration should I choose if I need the maximum supported memory already fitted?

This unit comes with 32GB DDR4, which matches the 32 GB maximum supported, so no further memory upgrade is possible or required.
