Business laptop with 8th-gen Intel Core i7

The Lenovo ThinkPad T480s is a 14.0-inch business laptop built around an Intel Core i7-8550U processor running at 1.80 GHz with up to 4.00 GHz turbo. It ships with 12 GB of DDR4 memory and a 180 GB SSD, driving a 1920 x 1080 IPS matte display. Windows 7 Professional 64-bit is pre-installed, and the chassis weighs between 2 and 2.9 lbs.

Mobile professionals needing WWAN and Thunderbolt

This unit suits travelling professionals who require 4G LTE WWAN connectivity and Thunderbolt 3 over USB-C for high-speed docks or external GPUs. The fingerprint reader and ThinkShutter webcam cover address physical security needs. Buyers who need a touchscreen, larger internal storage, or a modern supported operating system should look elsewhere.

180 GB SSD capacity decides fit

The single specification that determines suitability is the 180 GB solid-state drive. If your operating system, applications and active project files fit comfortably within that space, the T480s works as a ready-to-deploy machine. If you require more local capacity for media libraries, virtual machines or large datasets, this drive size will be a constraint.
