ThinkPad T480s 14" touchscreen ultrabook

This 14.0" Lenovo ThinkPad T480s ships new with Windows 10 Pro and a 1920 x 1080 IPS touchscreen. The 8th Gen Intel Core i5-8350U quad-core processor runs at 1.70 GHz with a 3.60 GHz turbo. Integrated Intel UHD Graphics 620 handles the display output.

24 GB DDR4 RAM and 512 GB SSD capacity

The 24 GB DDR4 memory provides generous headroom for heavy multitasking and virtual machines. The 512 GB SSD offers fast boot and load times for the OS and a large project library. Storage-intensive workflows such as local video editing or big data sets will run out of space quickly.

Quad-core i5-8350U with integrated graphics

The CPU delivers four cores and eight threads for responsive office and development workloads. Integrated Intel UHD Graphics 620 limits the machine to light creative tasks and external 1080p displays. Buyers needing discrete GPU performance for 3D rendering or gaming should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

Will the USB-C ports on this ThinkPad T480s drive my older USB 3.0 dock and monitors?

The two USB-C ports support USB 3.1 Gen1 data, Power Delivery and DisplayPort, so a USB 3.0 dock will work through a passive adapter or cable.

How can I verify the 24 GB DDR4 memory and 512 GB SSD are recognised after first boot?

Open Task Manager > Performance and confirm 24 GB RAM and a 512 GB disk appear; Device Manager should list Intel UHD Graphics 620 and the i5-8350U quad-core processor.

Which accessories ship with the laptop and what must I source separately?

The box contains the ThinkPad T480s, an OEM AC adapter and Windows 10 Pro pre-installed; any USB-C hub, external drive or Ethernet dongle is sold separately.
