Business laptop with 24 GB memory

The ThinkPad T480s is a 14-inch Windows 10 Pro notebook built for professionals who need a portable system with generous memory. It combines an Intel Core i5-8250U processor running at 1.60 GHz with 24 GB of DDR4 RAM and a 1 TB SSD. The matte IPS display shows 1920 x 1080 resolution without touch input.

Deciding specification: 24 GB DDR4 RAM

The single figure that determines fit is the 24 GB of DDR4 memory, which exceeds the 16 GB mentioned in the highlights and supports heavy multitasking with many browser tabs, virtual machines or large spreadsheets. Buyers who need more storage capacity or a dedicated graphics processor should look elsewhere.

Sustained-load behaviour

MIL-SPEC testing across 21 procedures validates durability under continuous workloads and harsh environments. Thunderbolt connectivity at up to 40 Gbps maintains high throughput for external storage or docks during long sessions. The fingerprint reader and ThinkShutter webcam cover provide consistent security without performance impact.
