Business laptop for mobile professionals

The Lenovo ThinkPad T480s is a 14 inch business laptop built for professionals who need reliable performance on the move. It runs Windows 7 Professional on an Intel Core i5-8250U processor with a base clock of 1.60 GHz and a turbo boost up to 3.40 GHz. The 14.0 inch IPS display delivers a 1920 x 1080 matte finish suited to long work sessions.

16 GB DDR4 memory and 256 GB NVMe SSD

Sixteen gigabytes of DDR4 memory provides comfortable headroom for typical office multitasking, multiple browser tabs and light virtualisation workloads. The 256 GB PCIe NVMe solid-state drive offers fast boot and application load times, though capacity may fill quickly with large local media libraries or extensive project archives. Integrated Intel UHD 620 graphics handles standard productivity and video playback without difficulty.

Thunderbolt 3 over USB-C for high-speed docking

A single USB-C port with Intel Thunderbolt 3 supports up to 40 Gbps data transfer, dual 4K video output and power delivery through one cable. This makes the T480s a strong candidate for users who dock at a desk with external monitors and peripherals. Buyers who need more internal storage expansion or discrete graphics performance should look elsewhere.
