Business ultraportable with WWAN

The Lenovo ThinkPad T480s is a 14.0" laptop powered by an Intel Core i5-8250U processor and 24GB of DDR4 memory. A 2TB NVMe solid-state drive provides the primary storage. Windows 10 Pro is pre-installed and the chassis includes a fingerprint reader plus 4G LTE WWAN for mobile connectivity.

Mobile professionals needing integrated 4G

Buyers who rely on always-on cellular data without tethering will value the built-in WWAN module and the matte IPS display for outdoor visibility. The integrated UHD 620 graphics and non-touch screen make this unsuitable for colour-critical creative work or touch-centric workflows.

Processor ceiling at 3.40 GHz

The quad-core i5-8250U reaches a maximum turbo frequency of 3.40 GHz and operates within a low-power envelope that defines the performance ceiling for sustained workloads on this platform.

Questions about this item

Will the 40 Gbps Thunderbolt 3 port drive a 4K monitor while I keep my USB-A dock?

Yes, the Thunderbolt 3 port delivers up to 40 Gbps bandwidth and can drive a 4K display while the four USB-A ports remain available for your existing dock and peripherals.

How can I verify the 2 TB PCIe NVMe SSD and 24 GB DDR4 memory are recognised after first boot?

Open Task Manager > Performance tab; the SSD will show as a 2 TB NVMe device and memory will read 24 GB DDR4, confirming both upgrades are active.

Does the box include a WWAN antenna and SIM tray, or must I source them separately?

The laptop ships with the 4G LTE WWAN module, internal antennas and SIM tray already installed; only a nano-SIM from your carrier is required to activate mobile broadband.
