Business ultraportable with Thunderbolt 3

The Lenovo ThinkPad T480s is a 14-inch Windows 10 Pro laptop built for professionals who need a light, durable machine. It pairs an Intel Core i5-8250U processor with 8 GB of DDR4 memory and a 256 GB NVMe solid-state drive. The 1920 x 1080 IPS matte panel, fingerprint reader and backlit keyboard support long work sessions away from a desk.

Thunderbolt 3 at 40 Gbps sets the I/O ceiling

A single USB-C port carries Thunderbolt 3 traffic up to 40 Gbps, delivering four times the data bandwidth and twice the video bandwidth of other USB types while also supplying power. The remaining three USB ports and Bluetooth 4.1 handle legacy peripherals, but the sole Thunderbolt lane limits total high-speed throughput when multiple demanding devices share the bus.

8 GB RAM and 256 GB SSD define the headroom

The soldered 8 GB of DDR4 memory handles typical office multitasking and light creative work, yet cannot be expanded for heavier workloads such as virtual machines or large media projects. The 256 GB NVMe drive boots Windows 10 Pro quickly and stores core applications, though users with extensive local media libraries will need external storage.
