Business laptop with Windows 7 Pro

The Lenovo ThinkPad T480s is a 14-inch business laptop that ships new with Windows 7 Professional 64-bit. It targets organisations that still depend on legacy line-of-business applications and need a lightweight machine certified to MIL-SPEC durability standards. The 1.80 GHz Intel Core i7-8550U processor and 16 GB DDR4 memory handle typical office workloads without fan noise becoming intrusive.

180 GB SSD capacity

The single specification that decides fit is the 180 GB solid-state drive. It provides fast boot and application launch, yet the total space is modest by modern standards. Buyers who need to store large local datasets, media libraries or multiple virtual machines will find the capacity insufficient and should plan for external storage or a drive upgrade before deployment.

Straightforward drive access

The bottom cover is secured with standard screws, so swapping the SSD or adding a second stick of memory takes minutes with a Phillips driver. The fingerprint reader and ThinkShutter webcam cover work immediately under Windows 7 Pro. The only common friction point is the 180 GB drive filling quickly after Windows updates and a few applications, which forces an early storage decision.
