Ready for business travel

The chassis has passed 21 MIL-SPEC tests covering shock, vibration and temperature extremes, ensuring dependable operation in demanding environments. Integrated Intel UHD 620 graphics keep power draw modest during typical productivity tasks. Questions about this item

How long will the Intel Core i5-8250U sustain its 3.4 GHz boost before thermals throttle it?

The processor is rated for up to 3.4 GHz boost; sustained turbo duration depends on workload and the cooling solution inside the T480s chassis.

What are the fan noise and surface temperatures like when the 8250U runs at full load for hours?

Under continuous load the dual-fan system keeps the keyboard deck and bottom surface within comfortable limits while fan noise remains at typical office background levels.

Which peripherals must I already own to use the Thunderbolt 3 port on this T480s?

You need Thunderbolt 3-certified cables or docks and compatible USB-C displays or storage devices to utilise the 40 Gbps Thunderbolt 3 connection.
