Business laptop for mobile professionals

The Lenovo ThinkPad T480s is a 14-inch business laptop powered by an Intel Core i7-8550U processor with 8 GB of DDR4 memory. It ships with Windows 7 Professional and a 512 GB NVMe solid-state drive. The matte IPS display offers a 1920 x 1080 resolution. Integrated Intel UHD 620 graphics handle everyday visual tasks.

Upgrade from older ultraportables

This model replaces earlier 14-inch systems that lack Thunderbolt connectivity and NVMe storage speeds. The jump is worth it when you need 40 Gbps Thunderbolt 3 bandwidth for docks or external GPUs. MIL-SPEC testing across 21 procedures adds confidence for frequent travel. The fingerprint reader and ThinkShutter webcam cover improve physical security.

Suits Windows 7 environments

Buyers maintaining legacy Windows 7 Pro applications will find a supported platform with modern ports including USB-C Thunderbolt. The 1.80 GHz quad-core CPU reaches 4.0 GHz turbo for responsive office workloads. Bluetooth 4.1 and 4G LTE WWAN keep you connected on the move. Those needing touchscreen input, discrete graphics or more than 8 GB of soldered memory should look elsewhere.
