Business laptop for mobile professionals

The Lenovo ThinkPad T480s is a 14.0 inch business laptop built around an Intel Core i7-8550U processor running at 1.80 GHz with a maximum turbo of 4.0 GHz. It ships with Windows 7 Professional 64-bit, 8 GB of DDR4 memory and a 180 GB SSD. The IPS display delivers 1920 x 1080 resolution on a matte panel. Integrated Intel UHD 620 graphics handle the visual output.

Suits users needing legacy OS and WWAN

This unit suits professionals who require Windows 7 Professional for application compatibility and value the built-in 4G LTE WWAN for connectivity away from Wi-Fi. The fingerprint reader and webcam cover support physical security needs. Buyers who need a touchscreen, larger local storage or a newer Windows version should look at other configurations.

180 GB SSD and 8 GB RAM for core workloads

The 180 GB solid-state drive provides fast boot and application launch for a standard office suite and essential utilities, leaving modest headroom for active project files. Eight gigabytes of DDR4 memory handles typical multitasking such as email, browser tabs and document editing smoothly. Heavy local media libraries, large databases or virtual machines will exceed the available capacity and memory headroom.
