ThinkPad T490 for mobile professionals

The 14-inch Lenovo ThinkPad T490 targets professionals who need a reliable daily driver. An Intel Core i7-8665U processor running at 1.60 GHz handles office suites and web workloads smoothly. 32 GB of memory keeps many tabs and applications open without slowdown. A 512 GB SSD stores the operating system, programmes and project files.

Build and everyday connectivity

The chassis weighs 3.42 kg, giving it a substantial feel on a desk or in a bag. A 14.0-inch non-touch panel with 1920 x 1080 resolution provides clear text for documents and spreadsheets. Integrated Intel UHD Graphics 620 drives the display and external monitors through the available video outputs. A built-in webcam supports video calls without extra peripherals.

Thermals and power in normal use

The low-power U-series CPU and integrated graphics keep heat output modest during typical productivity tasks. Fan noise stays low when browsing, editing documents or streaming video. Power draw remains gentle on the battery, supporting extended unplugged sessions. The 512 GB SSD adds no moving parts, helping the system run cool and quiet.
