Business ultrabook for mobile professionals

The Lenovo ThinkPad T490 is a 14.0-inch Windows 11 Pro laptop built for professionals who need a lightweight, durable device for daily office tasks, web browsing and video calls. It ships new with 16 GB DDR4 memory and a 256 GB SSD, ready for immediate deployment in corporate or home-office environments.

Thunderbolt 3 and USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-C share one

A single USB Type-C connector carries both Thunderbolt 3 and USB 3.1 Gen 1 signals, so only one high-speed peripheral or external display can use that interface at a time. The HDMI output and two USB 3.1 Type-A ports remain available, but total simultaneous high-bandwidth connections are limited by the shared controller.

16 GB soldered DDR4 2400 MHz cannot be upgraded

Memory is not user-expandable, so the 16 GB configuration fixes the maximum RAM for the life of the device. Buyers who anticipate heavier multitasking, virtual machines or large datasets should verify this capacity meets future workload demands before purchase.
