14-inch business laptop for mobile professionals

The Lenovo ThinkPad T490 is a 14.0-inch notebook built for professionals who need a reliable Windows 10 Pro machine on the move. Its quad-core Intel Core i5-8265U processor reaches 3.9 GHz with Turbo Boost 2.0, and the non-touch IPS panel delivers 1920 x 1080 resolution. A fingerprint reader adds convenient sign-in security.

16 GB DDR4 memory and 2 TB NVMe storage

Sixteen gigabytes of DDR4 RAM provide smooth multitasking across typical office workloads and browser-heavy sessions. The upgraded 2 TB NVMe SSD offers ample space for large project files and local databases. Integrated Intel UHD Graphics 620 handles desktop compositing and video playback but is not suited for 3D rendering or modern gaming.

HDMI and Thunderbolt connectivity in a compact

The black chassis includes HDMI and Thunderbolt ports for external displays and high-speed peripherals, plus a card reader for quick media transfer. Wi-Fi and Bluetooth support wireless accessories and network access. The 720p webcam covers basic conferencing needs. Buyers needing discrete graphics performance or a touchscreen should consider other models.
