14" FHD IPS display

The Lenovo ThinkPad T490 is a 14-inch business notebook with a 1920 x 1080 IPS panel and anti-glare finish. It runs on an Intel Core i5-8265U quad-core processor with a base frequency of 1.6 GHz and a turbo frequency of 3.9 GHz. The system includes 8 GB of DDR4 memory and a 2 TB NVMe SSD. Windows 10 Pro is pre-installed.

Suits mobile professionals, not heavy creators

This configuration suits professionals who need a reliable 14-inch device for office applications, video calls and travel. The integrated Intel UHD Graphics 620 handles standard productivity and 720p webcam conferencing. Buyers who want discrete graphics for rendering, CAD or gaming should look elsewhere. The 8 GB of soldered memory cannot be expanded.

2 TB NVMe storage decides fit

The upgraded 2 TB NVMe SSD is the specification that determines whether this unit meets your storage requirements without further modification. It provides substantial capacity for large local datasets, project archives and offline files. If your workflow demands more than 2 TB of high-speed internal storage, this laptop will not satisfy that need.
