14.1" ThinkPad with i7-4600M

This Lenovo ThinkPad T540P is a 14.1 inch business laptop built around a 4th Gen Intel Core i7-4600M dual-core processor running at 3.00 GHz. It ships with 16 GB of DDR3 memory and a 128 GB 2.5 inch solid state drive. Windows 10 Professional 64-bit comes pre-installed for immediate deployment in office or remote environments.

Integrated graphics and legacy ports

The Intel HD Graphics 4600 integrated GPU drives the 1366 x 768 LED display without a discrete card, leaving the system’s thermal budget for the CPU. A DVD-RW drive handles optical media, while VGA and Mini DisplayPort outputs connect external monitors. Gigabit Ethernet and 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi cover wired and wireless networking, and a Trusted Platform Module chip supports hardware encryption.

Steady output for long sessions

Dual-core architecture with Hyper-Threading sustains multi-threaded workloads such as document batches, spreadsheet recalculations and video conferencing over extended periods. The 16 GB DDR3 ceiling prevents memory pressure when many browser tabs and line-of-business apps run together. SSD storage keeps boot and application launches consistent, avoiding the latency spikes of mechanical drives during background updates.

Questions about this item

Will the 128 GB SSD and 16 GB DDR3 RAM handle heavy multitasking without constant swapping?

The 128 GB SSD and 16 GB DDR3 RAM provide fast storage and ample memory for typical workloads; sustained heavy multitasking may eventually hit the 128 GB capacity limit before memory pressure forces swap.

How loud or hot does the integrated Intel HD Graphics 4600 get during all-day office use?

With integrated Intel HD Graphics 4600 and a dual-core i7-4600M, the system runs cool and quiet for typical office tasks; fan noise stays low under light loads.

Does the laptop include a VGA or Mini DisplayPort cable for an external monitor?

The laptop provides VGA and Mini DisplayPort outputs; you must supply your own compatible cable or adapter for the external display.
