Who this suits and who should look elsewhere

This ultraportable suits professionals who need a lightweight carbon-fiber chassis tested against 12 military-grade requirements and weighing 2.49 lbs. The fingerprint reader and trusted platform module address security-focused buyers. Buyers who want more storage than 256GB or require a touchscreen should consider other configurations.

Deciding specification: 4G LTE WWAN

The built-in 4G LTE WWAN card is the single specification that decides fit. If your workflow depends on always-connected mobile broadband without a separate hotspot, this unit meets that need. If you rely solely on Wi-Fi or Ethernet, the WWAN hardware adds cost and complexity you may not use.

Questions about this item

Does the box include the 4G LTE WWAN card or must it be bought separately?

The 4G LTE WWAN card is built into the laptop, so no separate purchase is needed for mobile broadband.

Should I choose this 256 GB NVMe model or a larger capacity?

The 256 GB NVMe SSD is the only capacity listed for this unit; if you need more space you would have to add external storage.

What does the i7-7600U reaching 3.9 GHz mean for everyday work?

The processor can boost to 3.9 GHz for short bursts, speeding up single-threaded tasks such as opening apps or compiling code.
