ThinkPad X1 Carbon 5 with 4G LTE WWAN

This fifth-generation ThinkPad X1 Carbon pairs an Intel Core i7-7500U processor reaching 3.5 GHz with 8GB of memory and a 2TB NVMe SSD. It ships with Windows 7 Professional and includes a 4G LTE WWAN card for mobile broadband connectivity. The 14-inch FHD IPS panel shows 1920 x 1080 resolution and does not support touch input. The carbon-fiber reinforced chassis weighs 2.49 lbs and passes 12 military-grade requirements.

Easy setup with Thunderbolt 3 charging

Windows 7 Professional is pre-installed so the laptop is ready to use after the initial configuration steps. The Thunderbolt 3 port handles both data and charging through a single USB-C cable at up to 40 Gbps. The 4G LTE WWAN card may require a compatible SIM and an active data plan before mobile broadband works. The award-winning keyboard and UltraNav touchpad need no driver installation for basic operation.

Suited for mobile professionals needing LTE

This unit fits users who want a lightweight 14-inch ultrabook with built-in mobile broadband and a large PCIe SSD. Buyers who require a touchscreen should look elsewhere because the display is non-touch. Those who need more than 8GB of memory for heavy multitasking will find the capacity fixed. Users dependent on a current operating system should note that Windows 7 Professional is no longer supported by Microsoft.
