Ready-to-work ultraportable

The Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon G7 is a 14-inch business laptop powered by an Intel Core i5-8365U processor with 16GB of soldered memory and a 256GB SSD. Windows 11 Professional comes pre-installed for immediate deployment. It suits professionals who need a lightweight, secure device for office applications and travel.

Thunderbolt 4 dock readiness

Two Thunderbolt 4 ports handle power delivery, DisplayPort 1.4a video and 40Gbps data through a single cable, letting you connect a dock, external storage or monitors without extra adapters. Two USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports, one always-on for charging phones, plus HDMI 2.0 and a 3.5mm combo jack cover legacy peripherals. No internal RAM slots exist, so memory cannot be expanded later.

Fan-assisted cooling profile

The Intel UHD Graphics 620 and 15W quad-core CPU share a compact thermal solution inside the 0.66-inch chassis. Under typical office loads the system remains quiet; sustained workloads spin the fan up but surface temperatures stay comfortable for lap use. The included OEM power adapter supplies sufficient wattage for normal operation and charging.

How loud and hot does it get during all-day use?

Passive cooling and low 15 W typical power keep fan noise minimal and surface temperatures comfortable for extended sessions.

What peripherals must I already own to use the video outputs?

An HDMI 2.0 cable or a Thunderbolt dock with DisplayPort 1.4a support is required for external monitors.
