ThinkPad X1 Carbon 5 Business Ultrabook

This new ThinkPad X1 Carbon 5 runs Windows 10 Pro on an Intel Core i7-7500U processor with 8 GB of memory and a 512 GB NVMe PCIe SSD. A 14.0 inch FHD IPS display shows 1920 x 1080 resolution. The carbon-fibre reinforced chassis passes 12 military-grade requirements and more than 200 durability tests while weighing 2.49 lbs.

Suited For Mobile Professionals Not

The Ultrabook suits professionals who need a lightweight, durable machine with Thunderbolt 3 connectivity, fingerprint security and the classic ThinkPad UltraNav keyboard for travel or office use. Buyers who require user-upgradable memory, additional internal storage bays, a touchscreen panel or discrete graphics should look at alternative form factors.

8 GB Soldered Memory Decides Upgrade Path

The 8 GB memory is soldered to the board and cannot be increased after purchase. Confirm this capacity meets your workload before ordering. The 512 GB NVMe SSD is replaceable, but the RAM limit is fixed.
